  • How can anyone not LOVE this fantastic place. One of the BEST places to take kids of all ages out for a day trip to Charleton fruit farm. The fruit is fantastic and most enjoyable is knowing you can taste their delicious strawberry tarts and a cuppa after. Excellent play area with go karts and zip slides for older kids. We go as much as we can.
  • Drove all the way out there today, it was closed. Went back to the car park and met another couple who wanted to visit the coffee shop. Just getting back into our cars, when an extremely disgruntled woman wound down the window of her car and yelled "we're shut till March". That was it, no shame you came all the way here for nothing, or hope you come back when we open. I looked on the website before venturing there, says opening hours for December, nowhere can I find that it actually shuts on some day in December. Given that there were two cars with prospective customers, it might be an idea to update your website. Don't know where the other girls came from but we travelled from Arbroath - not a trip we will do again. Rude, rude, rude
  • As a family of 6 adults, 2 children & 2 babies we had a wonderful time staying in the rental house at Charleton Farm. We were made most welcome by the owners and the accommodation was excellent. There are 3 large bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and two others with 2 small doubles in each. there was also a box room off the main bedroom containing a set of bunk beds. The bedrooms all had ample space for a travel cot to be set up (bring your own). There are two well fitted shower rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, a great dining room, fitted kitchen & large lounge. The property also boasts two large flatscreen TV's, although we were so busy enjoying our holiday we didn't have time to watch them!! The farm shop and restaurant were so close we were able to purchase fresh eggs & berries for breakfast every morning (except the mornings we bought wonderful breakfasts in the restaurant). And I have to mention the strawberry tarts and wonderful salads, the very thought makes my mouth water. Great ice cream, large play park for children, I could go on and on.... Love Montrose as an area for a holiday, beautiful beaches, plenty of National Trust properties, I recommend the 'House of Dun' which we particularly enjoyed from the inside treasures & history to the wonderful gardens. I highly recommend everything about this holiday from the excellent accommodation, welcoming hosts, surrounding area....I would go back, and hope to very soon.
  • As a teenager myself I really like this place the fruit is super tasty and home grown on Charlton farm. I love the fact you can pick your own fruit the gift shop also has a wide range of toys and fruit/ vegetables ,tarts and tart making components. Overall this place is worth a visit from anyone of any age.
