  • It is a bit of a climb from the tiny car park to get to this ruined castle, but well worth it. The views all around are truely stunning.  more »
  • This was our last stop on a day of visiting castles around the local area. You park your car at the bottom, then have a hefty climb up a hill to find the castle - it's quite well disguised as you can'...  more »
  • Dolforwyn castle has great views from the top of the hill out over the surrounding countryside. I preferred the near by Montgomery castle which was easier to access and had better views in my opinion ...  more »

  • Ruins but can feel the history.. Long steep climb small carpark. Amazing views. Good info boards no toilets. Well added after siege, walls strengthened and extras built.. Some parts don't make sence but a lot of history.. If I had the time.. Money I would help build this place...
  • Love this old castle brill for walks pretty long steep climb from the car park(free) but it's a castle so being easy would be kinda useless.it is pretty much mostly ruins but you do get a feel for how it would of been to stand here centuries ago,the views across the valley are spectacular there's no entrench fee so a brill day out for the whole family, bring a camera and drinks.....
  • Obvious modern fabrication. Nonsensical construction. Perpendicular walls not tied into each other. Phony round towers. Inconsistent stonework. Recently faked "water well". Romantic narrative. Archaeologists were paid handsomely to invent history here! šŸ˜
  • Remote and windswept but we'll worth the steep climb up the hill for the breathtaking views.
  • Amazing place. Will worth a visit
