  • Lovely walk followed by excellent lunch at Cafe Florence. A bit muddy un parts so boots needed. Enjoyed playing Poo sticks.
  • Have been here on a few occasions usually bird watching with my husband. Have taken grandchildren when they were younger and they liked to paddle (in wellies) in the river
  • Ideal for a short walk along a river, with good paths and clearly signposted routes. Little cafe at the start/end, which is nice enough. Loads of parking, but gets busy at weekends and school holidays...  more »

  • Have been visiting for over 40 years since I was a toddler! Great day out in beautiful countryside, just 1 hour drive from Liverpool/Manchester, brilliant picnic location and fantastic four dog walks along the River Alun.
  • Lovely little park and great place to stop if travelling through North Wales. Range of walks for different levels, or cafe and plenty of picnic tables to sit on down at the entrance. Only negative would be the size of the car park, had to drive around it 2-3 times before we got a space, but apart from that a great place!
  • One of our favourite places to bring the dogs. Lovely walks and then you can have a treat at the end from the cafe. Nice little gift shop. Toilet facilities and lots of different things taking place throughout the year.
  • Great for walks, lovely scenery and the visitor centre is good too. Lovely pub across the road serving lovely food and local cask ales.
  • love coming here for a walk with my family, beautiful scenery lovely river, devils gorge is a sight to behold, on site cafe does lovely food, pub across the road is a favourite too
