  • It was really interesting to see where a King of England was accidentally shot/ murdered in 1100. ( The jury's out on what happened. The pub along the road, the Sir Walter Tyrell, is named after the man who fired the fatal arrow. William "Rufus" II doesn't appear to have been a popular King.)
  • There's not a great deal here, other than a stone memorial. Worth a look if passing, but don't make a special trip.
  • I went hiking through the New Forest and this stone was a lovely little historical find.
