  • Visited here with friends and our 4 children.....all who had a wonderfully, muddy time! The outdoor gymnasium equipment by the cafe was a real winner with the kids (and us adults) and despite the cold...  more »
  • Winter rates £2.60 per car. I think it should be £1 per visit this time of year to help get more people in. The cafe is run separately and very reasonable too. Good play areas. Toilet clean.  more »
  • I am lucky to have this within easy walking distance of my home, but it is worth driving to. A lovely walk round the lakes, play areas for children, and a newly opened cafe which is of a good standard...  more »

  • Great park surrounding a lake. You can take your car in and have a picnic by it. Children's playgrounds. Some interesting things to see. Currently an approx £4 charge for the car. No charge for occupants or people walking in to the park. Has special fields available for events like car rallies- ideal place for this.
  • Excellent place for picnics and own-hosting parties. It can be quite easy to get lost, however and since my daughter has been invited to a party hosted here, it can be difficult. I would definently check out this place, especially on a nice sunny day. A notice, my daughter did get invited to a party but we still got charged for entry, which I did find quite inconvenient. I'm not sure if they take cards since I paid with cash, however.
  • Lovely park costs a bit to get in, but they allow bbq's and tables if you want an upscale picnic. The lakes are lovely and well kept but watch out for the swan's they are a bit over familiar and chase children!
  • Lovely country park, children's play areas excellent (and there are three of them). Pushchair friendly stroll around the lake, or take a short cut through the nature reserve path. Loads of space for picnics, delicious ice cream from the shop, only drawback is that vehicles have access right round the path so if you have toddlers you have to stay closer than you otherwise might.
  • Use the park a lot for running and biking. Beautiful lake and open spaces. Disappointing amount of rubbish left around the place though.
