  • The whole family did a crazy climb and we were well looked after by Paula and Alex, even the parents were given climbing challenges to keep us engaged while the little ones were hard at it.  more »

  • I have been going to big rock for over 5 years and think it has grown as a climbing center beautifully! I dont agree with what mat says, I have been to lots of climbing centers including Sheffield and think the setting is at a high standard and the safety from the instructors is 10 out of 10. it is a lovely warm atmosphere created by the staff and I always feel so at home there. they change the routes and problems regularly. There is always a nice family feel to the place. The food and coffee is great and made fresh, its worth a visit!!
  • Great bouldering wall, loads of really well set routes with a good range of grades. There is a load of top roping but I can't comment as I tried them, they do look good though. There is also a 'Crazy Climb' with auto belays, great for someone not quite up for full top roping. The food is very tasty although you might no want to climb after eating.
  • Fantastic climbing facility. Something for everyone from novice to seasoned climbers. Nice bouldering room and Crazy Climb. Routes in the pit are 11m with shorter routes up top. They even have a granite wall in case you're missing outdoors. They regularly reset problems and routes using a mixture of in house and guest setters so you rarely find anything that is more than 3 months old. Unlike most climbing centres there are always plenty of staff and instructors around and all are very friendly. Best cafe in a climbing centre I've come across with plenty of choice available. Pay it a visit, you won't be dissapointed.
  • Great atmosphere surrounded by great people climbing aside. Lovely staff 👌
  • Excellent place for indoor climbing. We went with two experienced climbers who supervised us and held us up with ropes on the high walls. There are high walls for climbing with ropes and a large bouldering section as well as fun climbing areas for children.
