  • If you can find it, it's worth it. Had a little trouble with the satnav so ended up using Google Maps on my phone instead. This really is a hidden gem. A couple of different routes for those of us who...  more »

  • My first visit today, but certainly not my last. This garden is immaculately kept, and has a contrast between formal areas and natural woodland. A few of the paths in the woods are fairly steep, but there were several folk there today using walking sticks and just taking their time. Lots of places to sit and have a breather. A multitude of plants, walled garden, water falls, and a cafe. If you enjoy gardens this is a must.
  • Beautiful hidden gardens with spectacular scenery. Well worth a visit
  • Lovely garden and good parking, cafe and toilets. It's very steep in places so you need to be quite fit to explore it fully. We were hoping to see red squirrels but unfortunately didn't.
  • Nice pleasant walk, with interesting features, including red copper rocks in the rivers. Lovely display of flowers. Good cafe, serving good food!
  • We stayed in January 2016, and even in the depth of winter this place is breathtaking. Beautiful gardens, lovely paths, and the accommodations were immaculate down to the fresh flowers placed in the living area. The garden cottage was wonderful. Very friendly management. Would come here again in an instant.
