Twinlakes Park, Melton Mowbray

3.5
#1 of 15 in Things to do in Melton Mowbray
Children will have a heyday at Twinlakes Park. In fact, the park is so child friendly that groups without kids aren’t allowed in. Each section of the park provides a wide range of attractions, including a zoo, a log flume, a boating lake, an obstacle course, and a rollercoaster. With a good amount of indoor activities, the park delivers fun even during stormy weather. There are strict height regulations and not many rides suitable for toddlers. Primarily designed for older children and teenagers, the park does not offer much to suit thrill-seeking adults. Arrive early to avoid parking troubles during the busy season. Wow what a day! My 7 year old and 2 year old loved it! We arrived and felt a little hungry so found the nearest cafe walked in and all gasped! It was a cafe with a soft play area above it and also had...  more »

It easy easy to spend 5 or 6 hours there. This was our second visit; the first time we didn't realise that there was a water park and didn't bring costumes. There is plenty to do as long as the kids a...  more »

  • Great family day out if you have younger children. Loads of smaller rides and coasters for smaller kids along with a couple for bigger kids. Above 12 i think they'd be a little bored if I'm honest. There's loads of indoor play areas and rides. Food is not bad for the price, not great but good enough. Then they have a water play area with slides and paddling pools along with a shop for shorts etc if you haven't got them with you, great on a warmer day. We often stay until the Park closes, it's just a fun day out. Obviously not Alton towers but a fraction of the price and more for shorter children
  • Good selection of rides for smaller children compared to bigger parks. Even if it's rains there's 2 giant undercover hangars with soft play and rides. There is also a giant water splash area which in the summer months will be great should the weather be warm enough. Plenty of areas to have a picnic and a good selection of food and drink is available from the cafes and kiosks on site. When the summer months approach I will undoubtedly return.
  • I love Twin Lakes. My kids are under ten and they love it too. Although it's not the all singing and dancing kind of theme park that the bigger ones are, it really is good value. We have a season pass which means we can turn up whenever we want and it's good value. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the food is pretty decent also. There is plenty to do here.
  • We are regular visitors to twin lakes and have bought annual passes a few times which are great value for money if you plan to visit a few times. This place is brilliant for children aged 2 - 11/12 as there are loads of activities both indoors and outdoors including a small theme park type rides, soft play, adventure playgrounds and farm animals. We have been all year round and it's always a good day out no matter what the weather. They have special event days all year round which are definitely worth checking out. The kids have met the Easter bunny, santa , Elsa and Anna and more. They've done pumpkin carving at Halloween , feeding the lambs in the spring and their all time favourite, the log flume 😂 most of their activities are free which is brilliant as a lot of other attractions charge extra. The only downside would be their food which is terrible and overpriced. We usually take a pack up and there's plenty of areas where you can sit and have a picnic indoors and out.
  • The water park was loads of fun. The rides were good. The attitude of the staff in Crossbones Cafe was awful! Loved the animals. Could do with more attractions and need to improve the overall look of the place.
