Categories: Theme Parks, Water & Amusement Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web
Spend time with your young children at Gulliver's Kingdom, an amusement park located on a steep wooded hill, with many rides nestled amongst the trees. While waiting in line for rides, enjoy the view of Starkholmes and the Heights of Abraham. However, take note of the workout the hilly grounds will require, as it may not be suitable to the mobility-impaired. However, it is possible to catch the chairlift to the top of the hill and work your way down. • We went on Saturday with our 2 boys (7yo and 2yo) as we were in the area for the week end. We thought it would be nice for the kids. At first, I thought that £57 for 3 of us (free for the little one) ...  read more »

  • We live locally and not been in a few years. To be fair even with kids aged 16 and 11 we ended up having a whale of a time. It helped with the weather being sunny and the fact it wasn't busy so severa...  read more »
  • Fantastic place to go. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and scenery and I think that's what makes it. I think they have rested on that factor too much from too long because if for example you were to take that park out of its location and put it in a field it would be absolute rubbish. It's very dated and the food!!! Owe the food! Almost £40 for what I could only explain as a cheap £1 tesco Pizza and dry claggy tasteless pasta! Owe and some weird Mr Bean looking guy staring over at the canteen waiting for the next customer to walk in! (Where the food is cooked and you sit and eat is separate). What ever you do make sure you take a packed lunch and you'll have a wicked day but I truly believe that is only due to the location. They need to update the park and stop abusing the fact that it's location basically sells the ticket. Owe and get rid of Mr Bean and sort that disgusting food out its absolute robbery to charge someone more than say Nandos or Frankie and Bennies for cheap tesco value meals.
  • Great day out for the kids and big kids. My 3 year old loved it. What stood out most was the amazing staff across the entire park. So friendly, welcoming and engaging with the little ones. I was taken back a little as you don't always expect it, especially across the board. Soneone came running over to us to take a picture at the end. The location is pretty stunning too. It's essentially calved into a steep hillside which makes for a little uphill walking but the views and unique position for a theme park more than make up for that. Plus there is a chair lift and a travelator so it's not too bad. A top day out.
  • I went to this gullivers when I was a kid and loved it then. Now I get to take my kids and they love it too now as well! the majority of the rides are excellent. one or two are a bit sketchy. My kids both want to go back to gullivers for their birthdays so that tells you they must be found something right
  • We had a great day out here. Although the weather was wet (very wet at times) a lot of the attractions are under cover so that helped. No queuing at all to get in or get onto the rides. Entrance fee was fair and food prices were also fair for a theme park. Picnic benches (covered) were available to those who enough picnics. Recommend for children aged 2 to 10 but anything older would probably find it a bit tame. It is built into the side of a steep hill so make sure you use the chair lift! Overall I would recommend it.
  • Cracking place to visit with the younger kids - lots of rides for the younger ones (as long as they can sit unaided). ONLY downside is the location - its practically built into a cliff face so be prepared to do some serious leg work! Having said that, there are plenty of places to rest if you are struggling. TOP TIP: Bring your own food - its quite expensive (£6+ for a cheeseburger)
