Gulliver's Kingdom, Matlock Bath

(3.8/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Spend time with your young children at Gulliver's Kingdom, an amusement park located on a steep wooded hill, with many rides nestled amongst the trees. While waiting in line for rides, enjoy the view of Starkholmes and the Heights of Abraham. However, take note of the workout the hilly grounds will require, as it may not be suitable to the mobility-impaired. However, it is possible to catch the chairlift to the top of the hill and work your way down. • Good place to visit. Perfect for age group between 3 to 13 as it says on website. Good rides & wasn't crazy busy as sites with Merlin passes can get. Overall we could get all the rides for a 6 year done in 4 hours including having lunch break and 5 repeat rides. Hope this helps the readers. If any questions please ask.
  • We love it here. We've been five times in three years. They keep opening new rides, some rides are closed randomly through the year. Bring a change of clothes for the water based rides, do them last just in case so you aren't wet and miserable all afternoon. ALL rides have varying height or age restrictions. Food isn't bad and the prices are ok. Recommend you bring a packed lunch.
  • The theme was Halloween which they did a great job of making sure to get the park looking the business. the park is in an awkward spot on a hill and there is no real flow to the park, lots of dead ends and back tracking required. the weather was poor today but that didn't dampen the mood. there are a fair few rides for kids of certain age/height but for very little ones, it's a pointless adventure. one good thing for them was the numerous parks and soft play areas but even then not great. overall for me and my family of 2 little ones aged 4 and just over 1. I would return again but wait until my youngest is big enough to ride everything. spent 3 hours at the park and spent a small fortune on the food which was decent not great and standard priced for a theme park.
  • Great place to visit with young children. Went with 7-11 year olds and all had a wonderful time. Very reasonable price compared to similar options. We visited in August and there were no queues on any rides, and more rides and activities than we could possibly take in in one day. Children loved it and went home very tired and very happy.
  • Amazing, wonderful, creative and friendly thats my reveiw however its on a incrediably steep hill and maybe hard to use if you have mobility requirements also the Car Parks are on the most adverse cambers and steep hills ive ever seen, but 5 star attraction for the family
