  • It's nice just to walk around this shop even if you don't buy anything. Veg, specialist cheeses, pies, drinks, sweets, sauces bread and pastries. So many unusual goods. Go on have a look.  more »

  • huge selection of fantastic products. delicious food in the café. Best carrot cake ever.
  • The cafe serves lovely food with a varied menu using locally sourced produce. Only negative is the service can be very very slow sometimes which really lets it down. Otherwise would give 5 stars.
  • After a disappointing experience last time we felt that we should give it another go, as the restaurant has been very good in the past. I am happy to say that the issues we experienced last time (lack of service due to being too busy) have been resolved and we have a very pleasant meal (a ploughman’s lunch – very large portion! and a ham & cheese sandwich). The service was spot on – not ignored, but also not being fussed over, the tables with the rough surfaces were either gone or covered and the food was excellent.
  • Good for local fresh vegetables and fruit. A good selection at the deli and butchers. Cafe is good and food is nice. Good price for a bag of local potatoes too.
  • Fantastic produce and selection. Bought a big green egg here and Simon helped me choose the best cuts of meat going for a fantastic first cook. Will be coming back to the butchery department many, many times!
