Visited twice so far this year. Our second visit was on Saturday 03 June 2017. This was for the plant hunters fair so the admission was only £3.50 rather than the usual £7. We had some rain and sheltered under an outdoor gazebo whilst we had a disappointing plastic cup of tea . ( see my comment later about our earlier visit) . The weather improved and we were able to have a pleasant walk around the lake and grounds.See attached photos. First visit Sunday 02 April 2017. Had lovely weather for the first open day of the year.First time we have visited so early and lovely to see the daffodils, primroses, blossoms plus lots of other sights around the lake. Had a lovely homemade scone , jam and cream from the ladies in the tea Room. - evidently they were raising funds for the church and will be running the tea Room for a few more times during the year. The professional people running the tea Room later in the year have a lot to live up to. A lovely Sunday afternoon!
Amazing tea room within that sells such good quality food and drinks. We had afternoon tea which was lovely and great value. The gardens themselves really are special. Well worth a visit!
Very lovely park garden with a lot of small ponds. Reslly nice for having a walk through. This place also has some insights into his histo which goes long back.
