  • We visit several times as the garden changes with the seasons and it always has some interest. There is a tea room which is very nice especially when you can sit in the garden on a nice day.  more »
  • Visited !0th August after studying the website which stated it was suitable for wheelchairs but not all areas of the garden. Was given a map of paths for the disabled and parked in the top car park. T...  more »

  • Visited on Bank Holiday Monday 28 August 2017 - have not visited for six years and very impressed with how the place has developed yet still retains the character of the original garden. It was a hot day and the slope of the garden seemed steeper than I remember - I would not recommend that people who are in wheelchairs visit for an easy time. There are no easy routes through the gardens for those visitors! ( Although a car park for disabled visitors is available halfway up the slope and gives flat access to cafe, shop and toilets. A nice cafe with both inside and outside seating reasonably priced.
  • We visited when the plant hunters fair was on. The price for entry was much cheaper. The garden is lovely. I do think we will return but in spring time when the rhododendrons are flowering. Very nice gardens though with lots to see.
  • Nice gardens to walk around. We went for the annual chilli festival but they've put the price up so much but decreased the entertainment and with only 2 stalls this year not much of a festival
  • Nice quiet and tranquil gardens. Many different plants and lots of windy paths with great views. Cafe was good: I can definetly recommend the cream tea.
  • Stunning scenery. Amazing foresight with the planting. A truly tranquil garden worth visiting in each season to see how the garden changes. Fantastic tea room, which is moderately priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
