  • A fantastic venue for a dinner and dance evening. The service was great and the food was amazing. My only negative would be the cost of the drinks.
  • An "old world" hotel, with memorabilia in the lobby harking back to a bygone era of the turn of the century. Their strawberry teas are to die for, and evening dining is elegant and quietly served. The owner/hostess came around to see that everything was satisfactory and thanked us for patronizing the hotel. Some rooms are contemporary and others are period furnished. Adequate on street parking.
  • Great historical hotel, blast from the past. Good service and good food. Not for everyone though.
  • Visited for a coffee on the terrace. Lovely view and service was fine. Bottles were being dumped in the bottle bank continually as we sat there which we felt was unnecessary at that time. Also furniture cushions could do with an update. However coffee was delicious and we had a pleasant relaxing time here (after the bottles!).
  • We stayed overnight and the hotel has a very vintage feel. Great to have a nose around and I loved the still operating 1927 lift! I booked online and mentioned we have a 12 week year old baby and they provided a travel cot which we didn't expect. The rooms are more modern than the rest of the hotel which was nice. They also have a pool table, 2 bars, outside terrace with a beautiful sea view. It's around a 15minute walk into Margate main beach so it's close enough to walk but also quiet enough during the evening. Staff are very pleasant and they are a long running family business. Maybe a few less pictures of the owners face wouldn't go amiss (she's everywhere) 😅
