  • My visit to this museum was worth every penny of the £2 entrance fee. Lots of interesting exhibits as well as the photographic history of Manston Airport from 1916 until it closed in 1914. Why Manston...  more »
  • There are two Museum with a parking area between. A Spitfire and hurricane and is free of charge. A donation is desired but not required. To see is a Spitfire and a hurricane plus on remnants of war. We have not visited the second Museum to visit but some exhibits from the outside. The S and H has a lovely Café Museum.

  • An interesting couple of hours for £2 pp (Aug 2017). A small museum covering the history of Manston Airport, focusing primarily on WW2. There is also the Hurricane & Spitfire Memorial next door which ...  more »

  • Were informative aircraft museum. Get up close to some of the aircraft. Excellent indoor section based on an old second world war battle of Britain airfield. Made all the more interesting by the nearby spitfire and hurricane museum. Free entry to the spit museum and two pounds entry to the aircraft museum. Plus free parking. Well worth a visit.
  • This is an interesting museum charting the history of Manston Airfield from its early days through both World Wars until it becomes a commercial airport, flying internationally. There is a selection of large exhibits both inside and outside from early biplanes to modern jets, with a helicopter and microlight thrown in for good measure. To get the full history it's necessary to read descriptions and look at photos that are spread along the entire walking route through the museum. I found the information they contained easy to read and combined with the photos was very interesting. There was also an AV showing in one of the halls describing the development and use of the bouncing bombs for the Dam Buster raids, testing for which took place at nearby Pegwell Bay. The museum has two routes to follow. One goes up steps, the other in the opposite direction is step free. Accessible toilets are available and entry fee was a modest and great value £2. Parking is free and shared with the Spitfire museum next door. Both are popular and spaces can be scarce at busy times.
  • Very good small museum and all run by volunteers and donations. Well worth a visit.
  • Superb great value for money friendly staff you could view cockpits of some aircraft will visit again
  • A great old school style museum clearly run and maintained by enthusiasts. There are some lovely condition exhibits and photos all over the place, plus it's super cheap (£2) and informative.
