  • Nice walk around the lake and there is a park and cafe nearby. The only annoying thing is cars going up and down the road near the lake. You've got to have eyes in the back of your head!

  • Well worth a visit, staffed by ex-miners.. We were able to walk round the disused colliery and see the many exhibits in the winding house which now contains the display of old photographs, tools etc. ...  more »

  • Good cause. Cafe sells breakfasts etc and the pit area is open for viewing.
  • Great place for cyclists and walkers to visit located within Pleasley country Park, The Colliery is open to visitors and has a very popular cafe
  • Well preserved mining equipment, surrounding trees etc. yet to become well established so looks a bit bare.
  • Tranquil nice walk or ride
  • Cracking place for a walk with dogs or ride on the bike. Couple of cheap cafes as well.
