  • Well worth a visit, staffed by ex-miners.. We were able to walk round the disused colliery and see the many exhibits in the winding house which now contains the display of old photographs, tools etc. ...  read more »

  • Great days walking and pit sometimes have open days run by volunteers, a very good day out when open day on, nostalgic for the old miners amongst us. 
  • Well preserved mining equipment, surrounding trees etc. yet to become well established so looks a bit bare.
  • Cracking place for a walk with dogs or ride on the bike. Couple of cheap cafes as well.
  • Nice area for a walk.
