  • Unfortunately it's currently closed due to fire damage. It's a lovely Hall and gardens full of trees but fairly small. Hopefully it will open up to the public as it was not before the fire.
  • Open spaces, wildlife and nature close to the centre of Manchester. Lovely gardens, woodlands and a community farm. You can enjoy a snack/drink at the Courtyard Cafe where dogs are allowed. Tennis and...  more »

  • I have just been here today and I was very impressed. There are woodland walks with beautiful conifers, pines, yews and broadleaved trees with vast areas of open spaces great for dogs, kids etc. There is a play area and cafe, horticultural centre with hot house and a farm shop. Sadly the hall is covered in scaffolding due to the fire damage in March 2016. The one thing I can't understand is that a grade two listed building that is so important isn't protected enough. This place is well worth a visit just for the parkland alone, so get out there and enjoy it!
  • Just a a pity that the hall is closed to the public
  • So run down these days its untrue.. Quite sad really as was once such a beautiful place to visit
  • looks geat to take the dogs out for a walk ,or even a jog around
  • Grew up in the area. Once was a great space and place to visit. Lack of funding and general care. Such a pity...
