  • It’s a really good day out for family. It was chucking it down and we had nothing to do. Came to the museum and it brightened up our day. They have real planes ranging from the 1900s to modern day. They have simulators which were fun. They have a full motion one where you can go upside down. They also. It really makes you feel like your in a fighter jet. They also have a red arrow one. It really makes you appreciate the skill needed to be a pilot. I’m the other building they have the first computers and you even get the chance to lift up a car with just your strength. I would really recommend this place!
  • It was a fantastic experience and must have taken a lot to set it up. Lots to see and do, the cotton mill demonstration was particularly interesting. Well planned out museum easy to understand information plaques. Lovely children's interactive activities. Highly recommend chatting to the informative staff about the exhibitions, they are really helpful and knowledgeable.
  • Here today as part of the Manchester International Festival 2019 seeing the exhibition 'Atmospheric Memory'. It was a fantastic experience and must have taken a lot to set it up. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This place is amazing normally too. A great day out for adults and children alike. Beautiful machines perfectly kept/restored. A treasure of Manchester!
  • It was a bit bare in places, I have a feeling there's a lack of funding however. The items were all so amazing and fascinating to look at, looking at our history. There was a ... Not lack but not much staff, so the experience was quite nice being able to go at your own pace and make your own mind up about everything. We actually peeked through the storage windows (massive panes) and the items in storage are very impressive. Wish they could display it all. Love the idea behind being able to look into the storage building. The cafe wasn't too expensive, didn't have to buy a ticket. Just donations. Unfortunately we didn't have change, but bought some things from the gift store as a little donation. Would go again.
  • Our whole Family love it here. There is always something to do and see even when parts of it are closed for refurbishment. My favourite part is watching the demonstrations of the Cotton Machines working and learning about the processes. Yes it is free to enter but the Museum rely on Donations. Parking can be a pain especially during busy periods as the Museum doesn't have its own parking lot or structure, but can be reached easily by public transport.
