  • Great toddler sessions which are interactive and engaging. The soft play space is relatively small but good. Really well priced, decent coffee and the climbing space is really big. We mostly go for the toddler climbing. The only things that could improve it is maybe a few bits need smartening up and it's pretty cold (although they have a lovely log fire and presumably if you're climbing a lot you'll stay warm!)
  • Really great centre for bouldering. While it doesn't have much in the way of traditional climbing (due to limited height of the building) the decision to focus mostly on bouldering has created a great venue close to the city centre for climbers. Only downside is that when holds are replaced they are incredibly rough, but not an issue really
  • Fantastic, friendly place. We've been going for two years to climbing lessons and thoroughly enjoy it. Last years birthday party went down a storm and two friends who attended booked their own party for the following year! We've also taken part in the holiday club ninja training, including outdoor skills at Mucky Knees nearby - what an awesome way to spend the holidays! Heartily recommended 🙂
  • Great place for climbing. I've been going to the Jr's course for around 5 months and I've learnt so much. However, I'm 15 years old going on 16 and I'm surrounded by children, it would be good to have a teenage course where 15 - 17 year olds could go. Overall great place.
  • Pros - Plenty of space and high climbing facilities. Cons - horrible food and lack of care. At 11am few of the staff members looked as they had sleepless night. Most of the time in idle "mode" ;) For a meal we got very miserable looking panini buns with cheese and a portion of beans of which the moisture had completely evaporated probably during prep, tasted as wood shredes. Also for our kids we took cheese toasties, unbelievably white (like it never touched the toaster) with a half melted cheese on, no butter. There was no fresh salads, no cakes.. Poor menu. Dry, bland, not worth the money, a very big let down. Play area for children is pretty big but cold and looked very worn out and tired, the "pool" with plastic balls is rather dangerous, kids slid inside on a bare wooden board, kinda makeshift thing, also we noticed few cracked balls with sharp edges exposed. On the premises our children also found a baby bottle filled with old rotten gunk. Many parents wore shoes. A bit grose. We visited many soft play centres, big and small, cheap and expensive, and based on our experience I can only say that Rock Over Climbing does not look very inviting at all, it does not resemble a lovely and comfortable place to be where you could spend some great time with kids and friends in the Big City.
