Where to stay in Manchester

Some of Manchester's finest hotels are located near the city center. Staying there will keep you close to all of the city's main attractions, as well as its main road and rail networks. Manchester's centrally located hotels boast modern rooms, good food, and friendly staff. From there you can easily explore Manchester's famous pubs, rooftop bars, and restaurants. For a more leisurely and quiet experience of the city, venture farther away from the central areas. There you can explore a world of relatively inexpensive boutique hotels and self-catering apartments, especially convenient for visitors using Manchester as a base for exploring northern England and North Wales.

  • This is like the yates of beer kellers. It's cheap and cheerful beer. A good selection of beers from around the world to be fair but you'd struggle to find a Bavarian beer (maybe one max). And plenty of pool tables.
  • Would have been a perfect night if the management had sat us at the front instead of the back and if the waitresses had have been attentive. We had to go and find the waitresses to order beer twice. The "meal" is really tiny: hot dog and some fries. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. It stayed that loud during the show, woke up semi-deaf. However, the show, beer and atmosphere were great, very amusing and funny. Needs: more food, more attentive staff, better sound balance.
  • Good place to feed a large group of people, music didn't come on until 10.30pm so we missed that
  • Worst Christmas meal ever, £30 for a hot dog, chips and a beer. OK for a drink and trying out beers but there are far better places and better value places to go in Manchester. I you are booking a party, avoid it.
  • Good when its busy and the oompah band are on - been in other times and it's dead!
