Lovely building. Very clean. Bar staff are so sour. I don't think any of them smiled the whole time we were there!
First the positives, desserts were good, drinks were good and one waitress was very good. The negatives - Cold plates, arrogant chef insisted they were not cold, no apology but manager shuffled the pl... read more »
I was part of an Irish band who travelled here at our own expense to give a concert for the St Patrick's Day celebrations. Not one single person came. An audience of about 15 of our own parents and fr... read more »
I agree with Me You's post. I called for some sample menus to be sent over but never received them. So I called again to arrange a visit to take a look at the function rooms. When we arrived there was no one in the reception area, nor were they anywhere to be found. So we decided to take a look round ourselves. None of the function rooms were locked and no one was about on any of the floors so we took a look round. 15 minutes later, still not seeing anyone (bearing in mind we had an appointment so they were expecting us) we decided to leave. I decided to call them before driving away, and got transferred to the manager. She was extremely unhelpful, saying that we should not have walk round ourselves and should have signed in at reception. When I told her no one was there at all, she said they were all in the bar area (great way to be perceived..). She then insinuated that I was lying as she said there should be someone at reception, and the rooms should be all locked. She preceded to give me attitude when I said they weren't. I told her security is her issue and nothing to do with me. Her attitude and customer service stinks. Her ego of being a "manager" far exceeds the business she could have potentially received. Avoid this place at all costs.
I'm giving this 1 star as I found the centre to be extremely cold and unwelcoming. There was no one on the main reception desk so I proceeded to find a member of staff, the first I came across was two females in the shop area it felt like I ruined there day by asking if they sold rosary beads or when i asked general advice about the centre . I am irish and my partner is English and my children are born in Manchester uk I wanted to get them interested in my culture and I was hoping for us to spend the day there however we literally turned around and walked straight back out of the place and never to return.Extremely disappointed and I hope management of the centre see this and have a thorough review of staff's customer service skills.
Friendly even if you are not lucky enough to be Irish
