Gay Village, Manchester
(3/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
Centered around the Canal Street’s many cotton warehouses, Gay Village is home to one of the oldest and most established gay communities in Europe. Renowned for its tolerance, this district contains some of the city’s finest clubs, bars, restaurants, and pavement cafes, drawing heterosexual and gay tourists from around the world. Each week, over 20,000 visitors pass through the area, exploring the vibrant neighborhood’s liveliest nightspots. Enjoy a night on the town any day of the week, or time your visit for the area’s annual Manchester Pride festival in August, which includes charity fundraising and other special events.  Gay Village is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Manchester Edition.

  • Several streets that make up this place, trees, abutting the square are cozy this slice of Manchester. Scattering of cafes that are filled in the evening disparate audiences. A lot of young people around. On one side of 2 College and further building of the former UMIST-Institute of science and technology, which merged with the University of Manchester some time ago and now the University of Manchester is the largest University in England. On the other side of the Pacific quarter already simmering. Next-intercity bus station, a modest amount, you can go to any part of England.
