  • Great spot for the numerous festivals held. There's usually always something but even when it's not got an event on, the square itself is beautiful with its original cobbles and fountain. A nice spot ...  more »

  • I cannot praise this place highly enough. My husband and I had our wedding reception here and it was perfect! From planning through to the actual day itself was made pretty stress-free with the help of the fabulous events coordinator Lawrence and all the staff at the chop house. The food was delicious, the venue was dressed beautifully and the whole day was amazing! I had no stress and was able to thoroughly enjoyed the day with my guests knowing that the chop house was looking after everything. Thank you to everyone at Albert's Square Chop House for helping make my wedding day the happiest day of my life!
  • Nice interior. I had fish and chips. It tasted like the fish was wrapped in a doughy pancake. Not great for £13. Friends had a roast, said it was average. Service was friendly enough, though a little confused, with 4 different waiters/waitresses serving our table. Overall, you pay for location & interior but food is overpriced average pub food.
  • Had the delicious bread with beef dripping (didn't want to share). The bone marrow was sumptuous and comforting and the corned beef hash was lip-smacking and moreish. My son's rump steak was extremely flavoursome, but the crab cake that came with my wife's sea bass wasn't tasty or moist enough. Service was good and friendly and the ambiance relaxing. Would go again.
  • So far so good. Nice atmosphere. Was only offered a Sunday menu so didn't bother trying the steaks as its a good offering. Staff seem friendly enough. Wonky table though.
  • 100% the best Steak in town! Restaurant is really well designed, with the right balance of modern and classic decor. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food, oh my word! Go to this place!
