  • Now a favourite NT haunt. Petite, bijou, beautiful atmosphere and sense of presence and wonderful room guides. Modest sized undulating grounds with woodland and water - not ideal with killer heels! Especially beautiful in afternoon sun. Bohemian spirited tea room offering warm welcome with 'nothing is too much trouble attitude'. Check opening times.
  • This charming 15th Century house and garden, unlike so many NT properties that are over-run with tourists, provide a tranquil refuge from the hurly burly of modern life. The house, a modest yeoman's cottage, which has been beautifully restored, is full of antique furnishings and other items of historical interest, while the gardens are filled with beautiful plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Perfectly looked after place. Lovely staff. Must visit!
  • Delightful house, lovely walks near the property. Well worthwhile visiting.
  • Small but interesting national trust house. Enjoyed seeing the lambs in the field at the rear of the property and received a great welcome from the lady staffing the entrance. Probably best done when the weather is good to see it at it's best.
