  • Quite a nice unique experience upon entering, quite a bit to learn. But I really don't know what they are doing in terms of the architecture in the new building they recently built in the past few years.
  • Very nice museum with lots of interesting artefacts. Not very buggy friendly considering the different levels, although can still get to most places! But great place with lots of antiques and historic artefacts - considering the entry is free!
  • Very nice museum, basically a combination of various private collections. Slightly heterogeneous, but this adds to the variation of what is has to offer.
  • If you are visiting Maidstone or if you live there and have just never been, this is one to enjoy. There are rooms and rooms full of fascinating history about the area and beyond as far as ancient Japan, Roman times, Victorian and right the way back to the dinosaurs. Areas focusing on nature, the environment, religion, war and peace and there's even a mummy on display. Then there are the walls of historical paintings, telling stories of how the country took shape over the centuries and there's an art gallery too which has some very nice visiting exhibitions through the year. The whole place is child friendly, there's a cafe and a gift shop too and after your visit, the Brenchley gardens park is right behind the museum.
  • I really like this museum. Plenty things to see for the little ones and they also do the egg hunt ant Easter time and have many other activities
