Leeds Castle, Maidstone

4.2
A favorite wedding venue for local couples, Leeds Castle is widely regarded as one of England’s most romantic locations. A castle has been on this site since 1119, eventually coming into the hands of King Edward I, for whom it became a beloved home. Henry VIII used it in the 16th century, making it an official residence for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Today, the castle is a major attraction, including a maze, grotto, golf course, and what may be the world’s only museum of dog collars. Tickets are valid for a whole year, so you can visit the castle as many times as you wish. Skip the long line by booking online. We went to Leeds Castle for a wedding last Thursday and were delighted with the view of the countryside and castle. What a beautiful place. Security to enter the grounds was, understandably, tight, bu...  more »

  • A great day out & good value. Plenty to do, loved the interaction with staff, very knowledgeable, helpful. Great to experience the atmosphere with piano playing & even got to meet Henry VIII 😊
  • Really fab day out. Beautiful grounds, kids were very happy wandering but even more so in the adventure playground. Food and drinks available on site, but pricey (£4.30 for a father's day bottle of spitfire), so bring a picnic. Entry price gets you a years pass.
  • Leeds Castle was a great experience, but for the entry price it would've been nice to have a little more interaction with the staff as you walked through. It was very much a self guided tour and if you missed the pamphlet in the first room it was next to impossible to know what was going on. Despite that it was great! The history of the castle came alive, it was absolutely stunning. Very family friendly, and the maze and gardens were a highlight!! Lots to do outdoors and the food was delicious at all the little restaurants! Once again great place for families!
  • Loved it, kids had a great time exploring and playing on the extensive adventure play ground. Would recommended bringing snacks and drinks as they're quite expensive on the grounds. The ticket cost is high but allows entry for a year.
  • Pay once a year and come as many times as you like, events included. Well worth the ticket price. Beautiful grounds and castle and top class events!
