  • Bolton's Bench is a good starting point for walks along the heathland adjacent to Lyndhurst. There are options for short or long walks.
  • It's an iconic piece of the New Forest; a hillock topped with ancient yews. The grass is kept cropped by the wild ponies and grazing cattle. On from the hill is a thatched cricket pavilion and the only path in the forest that is dry even in the winter. Four small car parks and space to picnic, play rounders or just relax.
  • Busy in the summer and also in the winter when it snows!
  • I feel VERY strongly about horses... If you do too... Come to this place ................. Neigh
  • Tidy place, free parking, nice even on a wet day.
  • The only reason 2 stars is for play area service needs to be quicker and toilets need to be clean and work sorry staff were polite
