Lovely walks available, unfortunately we did not get to see the deer feeding but that did not effect the amount of fun we had. Lovely picnic area with barbecue spaces too. Highly recommend a visit!
I've been back here many times over the years. You don't always see deer, but I've seen them more often than not. The drive up through the arboretum (best way to come!) is stunning whatever the time of year and the walks through the woods are lovely. Oh and it's Free!!
A great spot in the Forest. It's a lovely drive here from all directions. A huge car park with activities at peak times, ice creams, toilets, walks and a deer viewing area. There are several walks with different degrees of difficulty. Well worth a visit.
We didn't spot anything the first time we came and didn't intend to stop when we drove past a few months later, but then my wife saw a deer. So we stopped and had around 15 wonderful minutes watching a deer wander about and eat foliage from the trees. Quite magical.
One of our favourite spots in the new forest; usually always see some horses on the green by the car park, and some lovely walks close by. The deer viewing platform is nice as well, although they aren't always close by so you might not see them. Usually some forestry commission workers on site as well, plus toilets and an ice cream truck close to the car park.
Gorgeous park deep in the New Forest. The deer viewing platform is an added bonus.
