  • i do like this place... great dunham beers, home made pork pies, love the pretzel bites too! It's a funny kind of place though, a bit like a DIY pub! Has charm though i think.
  • If this place was decorated as a traditional local boozer it would be the best pub in Lymm, the locally produced beer is fantastic and there is good seasonal variation. There is a good cider selection...  read more »
  • It's OK - beers vary wildly in quality and the decor is a bit Next. That said, there's usually a nice atmosphere, staff are very pleasant and when the beer is good, its's very good. Could be so much m...  read more »
  • Great selection of ale and craft lager. Cocktails too! What's not to like?
  • I'm yet to truly find a pub that I dislike, and yet I set off with the intention of not liking the Tap simply because it didn't serve any of my favourite lagers. However, and like most things on our beautiful planet, all it took was a little adventure and everything turned out just great. Freedom Lager, I'm sorry my bitter days in Lymm are behind me, came in 4% or 5%, so for me it came in 5% and tasty it was too. It even had the name on the glass in case I forgot. The bar was staffed by a friendly lady and that helped no end as it was a little quiet. Fortunately my friend's voice drowned out the cheerless Christmas songs. On top of my Freedom, which I helped escape the bar one pint at a time, was a veritable array of dogs, all of whom were friendly and quiet, unlike my puppy who had to stay at home. So it started bad, "no stella?", but ended as a fabulous afternoon of alcoholic consumption. I shall return, and maybe next time, with the puppy.
  • Our local micro-brewery. A fine and varied selection, changing on a regular basis. CAMRA award winning Dunham Dark highly recommended, but a range to suit all tastes. You can order six half pints of each of the beers on sale that evening to give you (and probably a friend) a taster of them all. No pub food, but you don't visit for that, assorted snacks are available and there is a chippie over the little road. Atmosphere isn't quite a pub, noisy music can just be too much. Come and try the beer, brewed in the basement and enjoy the village of Lymm too.
  • Great selection of beer and very reasonably priced.
  • Love this place -- microbrewery based and the beer selection changes regularly. The atmosphere is a little lacking but that doesn't detract from the quality of the drinks and is very friendly. Perfectly placed opposite the chippy!
