  • Lovely place to sit and soak up the sun & scenery, whilst listening to the rigging of the board, chattering in the breeze.
  • Want to watch a woman Lieutenant France's Meryl Streep starring movie and John Fowles's favorite stage in one night from London to Dorset. Lyme Regis itself is a small town, but slowly I wanted to see, so here's one night. In the movie Jetty whole day was wearing a billowy, visited the sunny in loose waves, from "!? "And looked just like the anticlimactic Jetty. But walk the entire long Jetty climb and draw a big S-shaped curve why toward the sea on the right side significantly tilted and is afraid of nothing. Walked in low tide, but left Ford like and even better still is heavily slanted towards to the deep Jetty at low tide when deep sea, right. Ran wet in the rain in the movie Jeremy Irons was running here during a storm, but often tilted so far to a-, and expanded imagination to fear when shooting. Went to the October off-season tourism attraction, so on Cobb's always tourists who walk a lot are. But what I have, not even walking, watching the scenery, view to the films and novels, take a picture and it says it and that's it. Other disabled in the various novels and movies and dramas, Lyme Regis (Jane Austen "prevailed"), or may possibly come out Cobb in the work of the other. Summer is crowded with bathers and tourists look for fossils, (around the coast, and the Jurassic Coast, leaves crunched under the fossils of the Jurassic period. In fact, I found lots on the coast).

  • I felt like a daredevil walking along the cobb! I have not visited since I was a child and I felt like I was going back to my youth! Lyme regis has very much stayed frozen in time which is lovely to s...  read more »
  • This location is great for families with a lovely sandy beach. It's also dog friendly on the pebble beach just past the concrete pier. The roads to Lyme Regis are narrow with few passing places but very scenic. The car parking signs are scarce but if you carry on to The Cobb through the town there is a car park which saves a steep walk after a long day out. I'd recommend the lobster tail and scallops at The Fisherman's Wife fish and chip shop, it was cooked to perfection accompanied by an optional garlic sauce. The beaches are clean and tidy but do get very busy in the holidays.
  • Beautiful town and beach, though very crowded on bank holidays and in the summer months. Great for adults, kids and dogs alike. Lots to see, sandy beach and plenty of places to eat - would recommend for a sunny afternoon!
  • Very pretty. Good views of the bay.
  • Lovely fish and chips on the sea front. ☺
  • Always love it here
