Lyme Regis Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is recognised as one of the finest golf courses in the South West. The course occupies a cliff top site with coastal views towards Portland Bill and overlooks the historic town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis.

The condition of the course is the source of constant praise from visiting golfers and is to the credit of our team of expert and dedicated greens staff.

Although on a cliff top plateau the course itself is not actually hilly and golfers can enjoy an exhilarating round of golf with some magnificent views.

  • Really friendly place. Golf course well laid out and interesting golf holes. In good condition, which is where it positions itself. Great views. It is for me a parkland course with great views...

  • First ever visit to play, having entered the 9 June 2022 Open Stableford. In short I really loved it. There was a very friendly welcome everywhere and the course was in excellent condition. In some places the holes felt parkland, others were more heathland. The views were great and the holes had good variety. The wind added to the challenge, as did (for our final 3 holes) a sea mist which came in quite quickly. We were told that's not uncommon, so something to be aware of particularly for green fee payers. The Bar was clean and neat and the barman looked after us well. The breakfast rolls were £5.50 - my sausage and egg was very tasty! Not sure when they stop serving hot food in the afternoon, but sandwiches and pies were still available at 5pm though. The Pro Shop looked well stocked and had some ball and clothing deals on. The guys in there were friendly and helpful. I certainly intend to visit again and had a great day out, even with the misty last three!
  • Vying with East Devon as the best course along this part of the Jurassic coast. Very well looked after and beautifully presented - the greens were one mow from perfection (but this was September!). It's challenging. 7 and 8 are long demanding par 4s, but on the back 9 there are some holes that make it worth a visit alone. Back to back par 5s are rare and these are two gems. The green complex on 14 a highlight. And I haven't even mentioned the incredible sea views!
  • Beautiful course, nice golfing challenge with stunning coastal views. Lunch in the clubhouse afterwards was excellent as well. Highly recommend.
  • Good value on pleasant mildly undulating course. Well bunkered with good sand. Greens were not great at beginning of April as they were being prepared but the green fee compensated for this. Friendly pro shop and club house.
  • Good course, but many hidden fairways, will be much better next time of I can remember the tests and turns. Good greens very true and quick at times.
