Dinosaurland Fossil Museum Reviews

We loved the museum and love that it exhibits so much in a small space. It's nice to see an old style museum that actually exhibits real artifacts without the need for touch screens and virtual reality. Our kids loved it and are now passionate about dinosaurs.

Nice little museum plenty of fossils to see and lots of information about them and were they was located from. Small shop at from with fossils to buy prices were good although after visiting found them cheaper else were. Overall loved the hour spent here

Lots to see at the museum, although it was a bit of a tight squeeze at times. Staff were friendly and helpful. She even answered questions we had about a possible fossil we had found on the beach. The kids had fun filling out the quiz and were ecstatic to have earned a little stone for answering everything correctly. If we lived nearby, we would surely visit the museum on a monthly basis.

Only took us half an hour to look around. Not really worth the £16. Really needs a good clean. Lots of dust. They do have a impressive amount of fossils tho.!

We went as a family of four; one eager dinosaur hunter and one bored teenager. We had a great visit, everyone joined in the quiz and we all learnt stuff. The quirky write ups about the exhibits had humour and bits of local interest in them. There is so much to see. It is a place that you can do in half an hour or take time and do half a day. The pieces are accessible and there are no touch screens or videos which is great because it is real and hands on. It does need adults to help read and explain some displays but it’s worth it. Our teenager got drawn in. The shop is inexpensive with lots of really interesting pieces. The owners are knowledgable and happy to answer questions, share information re fossil hunting and general questions. You feel their passion for the subject. It may not be shiny and new but it’s interesting and quirky and children can just explore and touch and get excited. Well worth the entry fee, cheapest thing we did and the best.
