  • I had booked the Vintage afternoon tea for my mum's 86th birthday. On website says that this would be in their special oak room.which is why I booked it. Paid a deposit. When we arrived, was told that we should have had a call this morning (which we hadn't) and that they had to move us as they now had a funeral in Oak room. I was very unhappy as we were now in the cafe! Our server tried her best to make things up for us, but the food was average at best. She came out with sandwiches with cling film over them then quickly disappeared when realised! presentation was poor and the cakes were mini bit size frozen cakes - like you get in Costco as party cakes. I was only charged for 2 not 3 teas but very poor for £18 a head. To make matters worse, when we left we checked the Oak room and there clearly was nothing going on ior about to in there, chairs were all stacked up. They had already said we were the only table booked so I assume they just didn't want to dedicate a waitress just for us. Very disappointed.
  • Mr Harper introduced himself to us and we had a lovely chat. This is a very fine establishment and very glad we stumbled upon it. Coffee fantastic then shopping for some lovely produce. Highly Recommend.
  • So glad to have found this place to meet up with friends. Bright, open and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and the assortment of cakes is amazing - highly recommend.
  • If you want to shop in a bright airy place where you can also get a coffee or a wine and get fantastic customer service then Harpers is for you! I have been shopping with them for 2 years now and am a member of the Fine Food and Wine Society which means I get lots of goodies at Christmas and the Summer and no membership to pay! I pay into my savings account £30 per month which I can spend whenever I like and my bonus is my Christmas and Summer Gifts. A free turkey, wine, BBQ packs to name a few of the things I receive. I love the wide variety of speciality food, wine and meat they offer. This place is a must for Fine Food addicts!
  • Loved the sausage rolls and the coffee shop is a great place to meet. Free wifi in the coffee shop means you can have business meetings just off the motorway/airport in comfort and there is ample free parking.
