  • Great place for kids. Wanted to go on the climbing apparatus myself but 60+ it might have been frowned on . Farm area is great for kids and adults alike for contact with the animals. Saw Zulu dancers earlier in season they were very entertaining and funny. Well worth getting a season ticket.
  • Went here few years ago now this is a great place to visit with plenty of animals to see we had the Zulu Dancers there when we visited. they were the best part very entertaining.
  • Fantastic place! I left my 3 year Old in the monkey enclosure and came back 25 years later to find his was name was Tarzan and he was running the place! My Aunt Maud got sucked on by a leopard - but that didn't actually happen because she was on heavy medication and imagined the whole thing. Thoroughly recommend although it's best to wear clothes.
  • A good zoo, well run and animals in tip top shape, one particularly good feature is once you pay the admission charge everything apart from food and drink is covered. The management realising people like to picnic on days out provide a covered area with seats for just such an occasion. This is a welcome departure from the norm and shows good thinking on the part of the management. The man who flies the birds was our favourite, laconic laid back and brilliant to listen too, obviously loved what he was doing.
  • I loved it here, which is unusual for me as I normally find zoos etc quite hard work and tacky, but Africa Alive is a really chilled out place which is really accessible, clean, welcoming, the food is great and the animals are actually quite close too, so getting a close up with the lions is much more personal than other places I've been. The entrance fee is a bit steep, but absolutely worth it.
