  • After travelling extensively, home & abroad, this place still amazes me. It's a natural haven (when I was young I was told the valley was formed in the ice age) it's approx 1 mile long with the river ...  more »
  • If you have never been, you must. Hubbard's Hills are beautiful. Can be very busy during the summer months during the day so aim to go around dusk as its quieter and very peaceful.
  • Love walking here along the banks of the river. There are beautiful mature trees and large grassy areas for children to play on and dogs to run around, also lots of different features eg stepping ston...  more »

  • Family and dog friendly. A small landscaped valley, which has a stream meandering through it. Which is nice for paddling in on a hot summers day. It's mostly flat paved footpaths, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. There's a nearby cafe and toilets.
  • Beautiful place totally spoiled by allowing dogs to run free in most of the area. This ruined it for us and families with children, and people who don't like dogs. We were planning to go there with other families depending upon the experience but the free dogs means that we won't be going there again. If you read the history of all injuries caused by dog bites you will find that it is because dogs have not been on leads as the owners always say that the dogs are gentle and presume that they cannot do any harm. How can dogs be allowed to run free in a public area???? Very disappointed.
  • Could be so much better.
  • Great place for a picnic. A hidden gem.
  • Lovely family friendly spot with woodland, stream for paddling, icecream/ refreshment hut and piblic toilets Pay and display carpark £1.00 per day.
