  • This was my first time to the William Morris Gallery, but definitely not my last. Lovely building and garden. If you are interested in design this is a must! The only reason I do not give 5 points is ...  more »

  • Lovely museum/gallery dedicated to the King of Arts & Crafts Movement. I think, he was years ahead of his time. I love his designs and his creativity. He didn't stick only to fabrics, he understood that there is more to interior design. So wallpapers, furniture...and much more. We can only be grateful that so many of his work survived. Superb.☺
  • Everything you ever wanted to know about Morris, but were to scared to ask. A themed overview outlining the scope of this inspired polymath, his milieu and resonating influence. Recently refurbished, cafe, attractive 'old English garden' setting and inevitable exit past the gift shop. Be it compact, but consummate.
  • The surrounding area is a bit rough but the park where the gallery is set is lovely, plenty for kids to do. Gallery was very interesting with interactive things for children, not very big so wouldn't take long to get around but then you can go for a walk in the gardens behind the house.
  • Now this is a really great place. The exhibits are all very fascinating. Take time to sit down and listen to the recordings, they are with it. The general design of the gallery is well thought of and it is easy to flow from room to room. Tip: don't buy food or drink from the cafe inside the gallery, go to the small restaurant in the park instead. The good there is much cheaper and much much better... All in all, a great day out!
  • Lovely old building lovingly used and looked after great exhibits and on the 2nd floor a video runs on repeat I learned much more about William Morris today and I feel better for it
