  • We had one week in London in late July, and this was my compromise visit for the kids (age 11 & 16) because we couldn't make it to Cardiff for the Dr. Who Experience. We had been to all the must see m...  more »
  • The promise of a specialty store doctor who with bonus Museum seemed promising unfortunately is a bit disappointing good already that's quite eccentric, but it still is nothing we had told me that the shop is located in a neighborhood that is frankly afraid I've seen worse but good move on to the main shop is already when you arrive we see a beautiful large full showcase of beautiful object in connection with our series preferred so we say wouhaa it's really big and when we get back... well not so much there to pleasure any fan of doctor who unfortunately prices are quite high on the majority of articles and there is very little merchandising that I've not seen elsewhere that didn't stop me to buy one or two little but good. Then, the Museum, already £ 3 for it is abused if in a pinch they asked rather a donation as the british museum why not but not it's really an admission fee. Short after having the key to the tardis for y entry (that was cool) we get in a room that is half of the shop filled with has been used on series (Classic and 2005) ok the room is full but it's still expensive for so little, especially since we can not take a picture an employee is present to arrest but also for answering all the questions that can be for once employees are true fan and can be seen on pictures on the wall before the exit of several players came into the shop for several events. In summary if you're really fan of doctor who, it's nice to come and spend a little time at the shop for others who will be disappointed so you don't waste your time.

  • My mother, my brother (16yrs old), my sister (8yrs old), and myself (14yrs old) all visited The Who Shop in March. Though I am the only whovian in my family, everyone enjoyed it. The shop was also a D...  more »

  • Great little shop for Whovians visiting London. Other than satisfying the needs of Doctor Who fans, there's not much to say about the shop. They do have a lot of items, but their prices are extremely high. I'm quite sure I can find most if not all of the T-shirts they have available online for much cheaper. I was able to find an item for my sister that she's been wanting for a long time, so that was the best part of visiting the shop. They do have a museum that cost 3 pounds, but I did not go in as I was crunched for time. This shop is not close to anything else that is a typical tourist or historical thing to do in London.
  • Prices are high but product selection is good. nice customer care. would go there again!
  • Small but full shop, really great staff and cool props. Has a nice museum of Doctor Who, but it's unbelievably overpriced.
  • If you are a die hard fan of Doctor Who then look no further and head to this shop. The staff are highly engaging and informative on the topic and you will find everything a Whovian could imagine here. They even have a museum of sorts of set pieces that were from different regenerations of the Doctor. Had a blast here and could chat with these guys forever.
  • The people there are absolutely lovely and forthcoming. They have lots of background knowledge of Doctor Who and a gorgeous little exhibition at the back of their shop.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
