  • Upon entering the Temple Church, in fact hard to find (there are signs) within a gate in front of the old courthouse, the emotion was great ... think about this church, originally built in circular as all those Templars, could have housed between 1100 and 1300 the legendary Knights Templar Londoners, and that many are buried with their clothes and weapons under the floor for a lover of this myth like me was a thrill ... the da Vinci Code did the rest, in the collective imagination ... a moment of meditation, thinking about who left the lands and titles to defend the "true" faith in Palestine ... values that today no longer exist.

  • The Temple is among my favourite places in London to visit. It's a fabulous retreat from the bustle of Central London and, if you visit during the week, a fascinating insight into both history and Eng...  read more »
  • Save your money and see this church from the outside. Read about the knights templar and you will have experienced most of it. More interesting churches that you can explore lte all around London
  • I always brought guests doing walking tour to pass by this very place and always saw their amazement every time with Da Vinci Code and all that
  • Popped in briefly. Magnificent architecture and quite breathtaking. A real hidden gem which is definitely on my "must-visit-again-soon" list. Loved it, simply fantastic.
  • Just missed visiting this so make sure you check the opening times. The area around is is very historic. Nice statue to the Templars beside the church.
  • I first came here 40 years ago when I was living in East London. There was no Dan Brown or similar to bring me here. It took a long time to find with my trusty old London A-Z. It was really a hidden Gem. The inside of the old church is austere and the "graves". Not sure what to call then, were fascinating. I was staying just a couple blocks away visiting a law firm in the area. I had to get by and see it again. It's not so hard to find now, and they get Da Vinci code tours every day. Despite that, it's still quiet and unspoiled. I could sit in the area for hours.
