Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.

  • Since the opening of this field Stratford this shopping centre has somewhat been neglected however with some shops like JD sports Costa Coffee Starbucks it does the job.  more »
  • I'm surprised that a so called legitimate shopping centre allows the sale of fake designer watches and perfumes openly. Isn't there a law against pretended to people you are selling genuine items when...  more »
  • We initially thought this was the big mall everyone was talking about - it isn't. As someone else's review mentioned, this is more like a bazaar of various goods. For tourists, you can find great deal...  more »

  • Smaller shopping centre located outside of Westfield. Some chain shops and a few independent shops mostly comprising of low end or value stores. The lifts and car park is horrid and the security in the centre is bad as lots of riff Raff walk through. Outside on the high street is a bit better but personally I think they should remove the centre all together.
  • Nothing much to it.. besides the fact its open all hours to create a skate park and haven for anyone. I love this place but if you want shops then you're better off visiting westfields. Little piece of the old stratford for anyone who has lived here enough to be nostalgic over.
  • Great little shops. Retains the essence of true Stratford. Turns into a skateboarding, rollerskate, dancing venue after 6pm. They even let the homeless folks sleep over.
  • Great place for cheap stuff. Simple linear navigation for those with a phobia for huge malls. Central location and close proximity to buses and trains . Tube and international makes this place very accessible.
  • Classic. Historic. Market is amazing. Health shops. Clothes shops. Pound land. Electronics. Cake, fish, music stalls.
