Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti da una signora gentilissima - presumibilmente il pastore - che ha chiacchierato con noi e con tutti coloro che prima e dopo di noi sono entrati nella cattedrale. Another one of our great buildings in London The original building was destroyed in a great fire during the 13th Century. Major rebuilding was then undertaken during the 13th/14th and 15th Centuries. During the reign of Queen Mary a court was setup in there and several clergymen were sentenced to death. There is a large stained glass window dedicated to William Shakespeare. You could write a book concerning the history behind Southwark Cathedral and all of it fascinating. What a great building, what great history.
A great space with a great cafe to sit and enjoy life
IM NOT A CHRISTIAN BUT I CAN CERTAINLY SAY THAT THIS IS ARGUABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CATHEDRAL IN BRITAIN
Nice cathedral. There is a cat living in that church. A real cat.

I like this cathedral because it looks good and is just near the Borough market and it's always full of people. On nice weather days this area looks impresive.
