  • You have to get tickets in advance but worthwhile. It has better views than the london eye. Also free is super recommended

  • Cost me a lot get reservation to visit it because it must be done through its website Monday with at least 2-3 weeks in advance, and if not go see periodically if there has been any cancellation, but we must be attentive, "fly" immediately. Another option, without reservation, is to go from 6 o'clock to drink there (that Yes, there is that dress well and without children). The site and the views of the London are spectacular from its 160 metres of height. Don't need to spend 30 pounds in the London Eye, that personally see you a tontada and very expensive. Alternatively, good views, and also free is from the Tate Modern

  • Breath taking views of London coupled with a tranquil green garden arranged over several levels. Relaxing lounge areas to sit down in and take in the views. Good quality restaurant and bar inside-prices £££. Make sure you choose a day with a good forecast for clear skies to get the best views. Book in advance, id is required to gain entry. The best part of all entry is completely free. A fantastic day out for family/ couples/ tourists or by yourself with your kindle.
  • The view is fantastic and breathtaking. Great place to go right before sunset so you can watch it set over the Thames. Drinks are a little pricey, and the service tends to be slow; the view does make up for it though. I would recommend.
  • Free to enter given that you make a reservation beforehand. Reserve early prior to your visit to ensure that you'll have a spot (spots go fast). This is a great spot to get a fantastic view of London. Plenty of seating and places to relax as well - this would make a great family outing. Highly recommend visiting!
  • Amazing views of the city in a beautiful indoor garden setting. Is free to enter, but you must book in advance and tickets can go quickly by the looks of things. You will also need ID and they will search your bags, but it is a worthwhile visit. Great views without paying high prices of the London Eye. We didn't eat there but the cafes looked nice too. Spent about 45 mins there. Definitely recommend making it part of a London visit.
  • The best place to go for views of London. You need to book a ticket but it is free and is a brilliant system as it won't be crowded at all. It's just such a nice place to go for a 360 degree view, a chill amongst some plants, and some food.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
