  • Alistair was the perfect teacher. He put me at ease even before meeting him in person. I thoroughly enjoyed the fun way he taught Salsa and made the group gel. I certainly will be doing more courses with him. I come all threat from Lincolnshire by myself. Well worth the money and effort
  • What a fantastic day! I loved every minute and totally recommend this 1-day course. Alistair was brilliant and made it such fun, the hours flew by and I learnt lots. Feel so much more confident dancing and can’t wait to do it again. A great day with great people. Thank you!
  • This is by far one of the most amazing experiences you can have with your clothes on. I did not want the day to end. I walked in with two left feet and left feeling confident that I could go to a Salsa Club and dance with my partner, without making a complete fool of myself. Alastair has a wonderful caring yet humorous personality. He put everyone at ease right from the outset, by encouraging us to all share in the embarrassment of dancing to silent disco music in front of each other. From that point on, the whole classes danced with each other without restraint and with the confidence that we could only get better. Absolutely fantastic value for money. £70 for a couple for a full day tuition is unbeatable. Don’t waste time thinking about it - book the day. You will love it.
  • Alastair is a class act. Not only is he engaging and inclusive in his organisation of the class, but the subtle switch from breaking the ice with newcomers to settling down to learn some serious salsa displays his professionalism and the caliber of his teaching. I'm 26, never had a dance lesson in my life and reluctantly booked this class as an anniversary gift for my girlfriend. I wasn't really looking forward to it. Now I am thinking of taking up more lessons. Im driven to nail Salsa as he gave us enough in that 5 hours session for everyone to stand out on the dance floor and perhaps look like people who might know what they are doing. We mastered the basics, learnt a few spins and were provided a brief history of the different techniques. You also learn all the little cultural bits about salsa like how to ask someone to dance with your eyes and the importance of eye contact. Alastair also quit impressively confronted the concepts of awkwardness and anxiety in dance and unpackaged these concepts to help people loosen up. I think this motivated everyone to really push themselves to pick up the technique. The class incrementally stepped up in difficulty after each one of us had reached a level of understanding. The class is broken up by one coffee break where you have a chat with your class member and various dance partners of which you switch with regularly across the day. Followed by a 1 hour lunch break where you a free to leave or have lunch upstairs. In terms of the people turning up there were a few couples but probably more people who turned up solo for the lesson. I'm going to be recommending this to my single mates as well as couples because of the flavour and spark of salsa. A final point, Alastair is legit a stand up comedian in his spare time combined with being a superb teacher and I was really impressed with this great value for money experience. I will no doubt be coming back for more
  • I absolutely loved the 1-Day Intensive Salsa Beginner Course. Alastair makes everyone feel comfortable and keeps it fun. I feel like I have learnt a lot and can't wait to attend a follow up and dance again! I definitely recommend it!
