(4.2/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Well known to tourists and Londoners alike, Regent Street (named after the Prince Regent) is one of the major shopping streets in London's West End. Completed in 1825, it runs from the Regent's residence at Carlton House in St James's at the southern end, through Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus, to All Souls Church. Shop among the 2 km (1.24 mi) of store frontage where you can choose from an extensive range of international brands or simply admire the architecture. Relax and enjoy a bite to eat or a drink at the new food quarters following your shopping expedition, or continue the route to Regent's Park. If visiting at Christmas, don’t miss the impressive illuminations. • Regent Street is particularly attaractively decorated this year with silver angels. We have not known it to be quite so busy and the pavements are full!
  • A very nice Street. We went at Christmas time and the angels suspended above the street were really beautiful. The stores are still brands. I prefer Oxford street in terms of the price of the clothes!

  • Regent Street looks magical this year. Great to see it light up so well after disappointing previous years. It is always exciting to visit London to see it just before Christmas.
