Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.

  • Me and my partner went with our 2 year old son and we had a brilliant time. Staff are very nice and helpful. Made our experience very pleasant. The venue is very nice with very good lanes and balls, may be silly to see but a lot of bowling venues have very poor lanes and cracked balls. Highly recommend
  • Even before there recent refurbishment I was a fan of this place. Fun, easy-going and reasonably priced. Now they've made changes it's even better. Great time out for adults or children.
  • Cool venue, bowling, skating, Meat Liquor severing food..... They also have KARTING ON ICE! This was all kinds of awesome! Can't recommend it enough.
  • Need to be a bit clearer about skating timetable and having to walk through the games arcade to the ice rink is a bit naff. Expensive but its central London. Decent sized ice rink and its much more classy since it has been revamped.
  • Ice rink is the smallest in London. No headphones allowed and you only skate in one direction every day (I've checked with the staff). Staff are friendly. The food from the diner is terrible. Our group got a stomach ache. Nice retro arcade machines. The bowling alleys are very cramped and smaller than you'd expect. Worst of all, the prices do not justify the service you get. It seems the refurbishment did not pan out well. This venue does not care about your belongings in all the years I've visited. CCTV does not work and is spread thinly. They have a cloak room service they'd rather you pay for in place of basic CCTV for police reports.
