Great venue, close to the action, amazing atmosphere. Volunteer's brilliant with safety staff managing large crowds on exit. Don't eat or drink inside the stadium unless your wallet is fat!  more »

  • Beautiful place to walk. Lovely landscape views of water and unusual flowers. In summer you can take boat rides or hires pedalos. Kids love this place; lots of green to run around, run through the fountains and the different play structures around the park park. A very family friendly place.
  • It's a lovely concept, and some parts are very nicely done, but overall it is too big for just a casual park, and some of it is a bit wasteland-y. Too much concrete not enough green. The events they hold here are generally lovely though.
  • As an employee of the FM company on site I can say that the Olympic park is ideal for tourists, visitors and families as playgrounds are available for Children near the Orbit/Podium area. This area also has a pavement level random fountain display. I have attached some photographs of the Orbit and it's views but I would recommend that you experience the view's for your self. There are toilet and restaurants available on site but these are Concession outlets. Enjoy the experience of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Regards Happy Employee.
  • Proper pub. Not at all gentrified. Great location in the middle of Mile End Park, next to the canal. The beer selection is limited but well kept this is to be expected and embraced. Wine is probably red or white. If craft beers and small plates are not your thing, this place is for you.
  • A large stadium. Ideal for athletics, too big for musical event, seats too far from the pitch for football. Easy access and plenty of toilet facilities. However, due to the size of the stadium, it can be a very long walk from the local station.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
