Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.

  • PRESTAT is by far the best chocolate shop in London:)
  • I really enjoy Prestat chocolates. My favourite are the Earl Grey Wafer chocolates - milk chocolate with real Earl Grey tea. The shop itself is tiny in one of the old arcades next to Fortnum & Mason. It is too easily missed but once you see the bright packaging you'll be hooked. Yes you can buy these chocolates elsewhere but you'll never get the selection you'll get at the shop itself including the fresh chocolates counter - not available anywhere else. Do check out the tins but don't be shy - make a box of chocolates or buy a pre-made box - perfect for giving as a gift (to yourself!)
  • It is located at Princes Arcade. This small shop is rather colourful and one of the oldest chocolate shop in London. One of their most famous customer is Roald Dahl's author of Charlie and chocolate factory. Prestat are the creators of the chocolate truffle in 1891. We sample some fine chocolate truffles there. I love the deco : childhood for adults. Great chocolates and service. Recommended.
  • It's about time someone made chocolate packaging joyful! Amazing quality chocolates which look as exciting as they taste.
  • Small shop. Chocolates keep for 4–6 months, this means they have preservatives. I love the pink champagne. This shop has the best selection of Prestat you can find in the UK. Definitely worth a visit.
