  • Spread over most of the gallery - large "story" photos by Gregory Crewdson. Wonderful works, well displayed. Also the cafe is good value and a welcome retreat just off Oxford Street.  more »

  • Great layout, friendly staff. However, having only one photographer over 3 floors became rather boring. Would suggest checking what photographer they have to ensure the exhibition is relevant to you. May also book other things around this as it isn’t a whole day trip.
  • A cool, modest and modern photography gallery with multiple floors, a cafe and a great shop sellings cameras, camera film, books and prints. Occasional interactive exhibits and free entry before 12noon! Amazingly amazing.
  • Nice gallery with small exhibitions. Entry £4. Also has a café and the possibility to purchase high quality prints of exhibits.
  • Went to see Gregory Crewdson's exhibition 'Cathedral of the Pines' and loved the space and light. Great bookshop downstairs too, with lovely staff who are every so helpful.
  • The original csfe run by a husband and wife team was much better. Thrir food was all made fresh that dsy and you didn't get half filled rolls sandwiches with all the filling up front. It's okay, better than the chains with the bonus of the photo galleries and a photo lead bookshop.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
