  • An impressive variety of chocolate with some impressive flavors to match! The salted caramels always go down a storm in our house. Always a delight to visit. Would thoroughly recommend and we will (of...  more »
  • I've been going to Paul A Young for years, not even sure how I came to know them. I am into fine chocolate this stuff is divine. In some of the shops the staff isn't always very engaging and a bit sta...  more »
  • We came in on a Sunday afternoon of 23/07/17 to hopefully quickly buy some chocolates but that never happened. There were two male assistants - one older and one younger. None of them acknowledged us ...  more »

  • Go to see them at the chocolate show. It's one of the few stands running a competition. If they like what variety / blend of chocolate you invent the winner will actually see their creation go on sale. I happily entered, who wouldn't ! Much better than a chemistry experiment or cooking at school where there were always too many rules. Nigella Lawson is a huge fan which is a fame defining endorsement as is being one of the seven best European Chocolatiers. There are cookbooks galore on the stand and you can see some of Paul's tips and shared recipes on Youtube. I bought a slick selection as seen in one of the attached photos. Back to front, left to right : Dark wedge of Goats cheese w Pickled Which, Marmite Truffle, Beef dripping with Caramel, Honey Truffle, Seasalt Caramel, Cinnamon Toffee Apple, Truffle, Pumpkin Spice and Blackberry Spice. In addition we bagged two Red glazed eggs flavoured with Angosturas Bitters and l COULDN'T STOP sampling the gorgeous mouth watering, mind melting brownie. Yumm.... with thousands more ...mmm attached. You can also engage in intelligent conversation with the vendors, knowing no question or observation on your part is unwelcome. It's all part and parcel of the chocolate experience. The only credential is your love of chocolate and a passion for something uniquely different.
  • Love their classic chocolate brownie. Actually it's not that expensive compared to the size. It's quite dense and full with flavour.
  • Totally biased because I've known Paul since he opened his first shop but I've taken thousands of people there on Chocolate Ecstasy Tours over the years and I've only found one or two people who didn't like his chocolates. The range changes regularly. They're not the cheapest in London but they are excellent value for the quality of the chocolate and other ingredients and the labour and love that goes into them.
  • Fantastic chocolate! Got me out of trouble with my mum, reasonably priced for the quality and I like how they rotate flavours every few weeks
  • Chocolate shop with ample selection of chocolates from not just Paul A Young. Samples would have been appreciate to better have an idea of what the chocolate tastes like. There was a large selection of chocolates including 100% dark chocolate which was nice

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
