I never come here for the shopping (sorry), but for the free views of St. Paul's and skyline of London. Absolutely amazing and just a really nice stop that doesn't mean spending a lot of money. You ca...  more »

  • Great place for all your needs! Shopping, eating and drinking. Views from the roof are amazing of St Paul's on a clear day. There is a great variety of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend a visit!
  • Fairly standard upscale mall with all the shops and restaurants you'd expect. The hidden gem is the roof terrace, free to access (and with a nice bar). Take the lift up for great views over London and St Paul's nearby. On sunny days, the bar tends to turn into a large roof party.
  • It has a good selection of restaurants and healthy faster food options as well as a good selection of different clothes, shoe, jewellery, outdoor wear, gift shop, etc over 4 floors. It's not huge, but definitely a nice place to browse through some upmarket shops. On Friday lunchtimes, there is a delicatessen type food market ideal for lunches and sweet treats. If you go to the top floor, there is a viewing area with a unique view of St Paul's Church's dome and view across to the London Eye. Definitely worth a visit.
  • Decent shopping mall. Often quiet at the weekends. Wouldn't bother during the week - too many bankers.
  • I work nearby and One New Change is a good place for the lunch break, there are several restaurants/fast food; the first Wednesday of every month and every Friday there is a "street market" inside the shopping center, mainly for street food but not only. Good variety of shops. Free cash points available. Amazon lockers on the upper floor. Probably the best thing is the terrace at the 6th floor, with a fantastic view over the St Paul's dome. There is a bar which can be pricey, but the access to the terrace is free. During the summer there are several events there: outdoor cinema, but also a big screen to watch Wimbledon.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
