Mei Leaf represents true tea culture - none of the artificially scented blends or low grade tea - this is the real deal Tribal leaves, imperial brews and all done Gong Fu style.

  • One of the best tea houses in Europe :) they have amazing shop with only top selection of tea and teasanes. If you are a tea person - you have to know the Mei Leaf YouTube channel. They are great ambassadors of true tea and tea culture. In tea house you can drink tea in ceremonial way - they will provide you with all of the equipment and knowledge you need for your Gong Fu session :)
  • Great tea shop / bar, specialising on good quality Chinese teas. Friendly and not too expensive. One of the very few places in London to try Gong Fu style tea.
  • Great selection of teas. There's a tea bar as well where you can get a nice selection of hot and cold tea based drinks. Lose tea also comes in small taste packets for you to try
  • Lovely, quality teas as far as the eye can see, only let down by a seating area in need of refurbishment. Definitely go for a tea tasting or chilli chai chocolate.
  • Attended a good tea lecture presented by Don and Celine, who are true experts in the field. The shop has a relaxed atmosphere, is full of passionate staff and beautiful tasting teas. Thank you for opening this wonderful shop.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
