  • London Victoria Station is quite huge and busy. We used it a couple of times and did not have any particular problems. There are many shops around and there are some staff who can be helpful.  more »

  • Good parking spot if you need to go into Victoria stations area, especially the coach one. Considering that prices are very high I recommend to book a space. In that case you can park for 12 hrs on Sunday for £15. Pedestrians must walk in and out together with cars. I suggest to NOT use the staircase if you don't want to throw up for the disgusting urine smell. Definitely needs a deep disinfection and security cameras to avoid this bad behaviour.
  • Old, cramped, tired, full of pigeons, toilets you have to pay for (fine) but still aren't very nice. However, it's a coach station. For the purpose of catching (and getting off) a coach, it serves that perfectly.
  • Check online offer on the ncp site. Recommend pre booking
  • Great location for the Saatchi gallery, and reasonably priced compared to the others in the area. You can book ahead and get a discount via quidco.
  • Damp, dark and miserable car park. Expensive. But there was a space for the car and it's open 24 hours. Could be cheaper and cleaner. London car parks are a rip-off but this one's not the worst.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
